Fence Cleaning Services in South East Queensland
What Is Fence Cleaning?
Fence cleaning restores the appearance and condition of boundary fences, dividing fences, pool fencing, and decorative fence panels that accumulate mould, algae, lichen, dirt, and weathering over time. In Queensland's humid subtropical climate, timber and Colorbond fences are particularly prone to biological growth on their shadier, moisture-retaining surfaces — and pool fencing is even more vulnerable, as glass panels can become almost opaque with mineral spotting and grime, reducing the safety visibility they're legally required to provide.
A clean fence is one of the highest-impact upgrades you can make to a property. Fences run the full perimeter of your home and frame everything inside — when they're dirty or stained, the whole property looks neglected; when they're clean, the entire space feels refreshed. We tailor our cleaning method to each fence type — soft wash for painted Colorbond, low-pressure with diluted solution for timber, controlled pressure washing for masonry pillars, and specialist glass cleaning for pool fence panels — to deliver the best possible result without surface damage.
Our Fence Cleaning Process
- Fence Assessment
We walk the fence line to identify materials (timber, Colorbond, brick, masonry, glass pool fencing, aluminium), note any heavy growth, staining, or deterioration, and confirm access on both sides where applicable. From this, we determine the right cleaning method for each section and provide an accurate quote.
- Pre-Treatment
Heavy mould, lichen, and biological growth on timber, Colorbond, or masonry fencing is pre-treated with appropriate biodegradable solutions to break down and kill the growth at its source — making the cleaning step more effective and longer-lasting.
- Cleaning (Method Matched to Fence Type)
We apply the correct cleaning method for each material: painted Colorbond fences are soft washed with diluted solution at low pressure — the only method that won't strip paint or oxidise the coating; timber fences are low-pressure washed along the grain with a deck-safe cleaner to remove grey weathering and mould without damaging the timber; masonry fences and brick pillars are cleaned with controlled pressure washing where the surface can handle it; glass pool fencing is cleaned with specialist glass solutions and a squeegee finish for streak-free, fully transparent glass; aluminium and powder-coated fencing is soft washed to protect the coating and prevent oxidisation.
- Posts, Caps, and Hardware
Fence posts, caps, gate frames, latches, and hinges are cleaned and inspected during the process — these are often the most visibly weathered points on a fence and make a noticeable difference once cleaned.
- Rinse and Inspection
Everything is rinsed thoroughly and we walk the full fence line for a final inspection. We note any damaged sections, loose posts, rotting timber, or hardware needing attention, and provide a brief condition report so you can address issues early.
