Driveway Pressure Clean — Tamborine Mountain

Tamborine Mountain

Residential driveway in Tamborine Mountain pressure cleaned to remove embedded dirt and biological staining across both brushed concrete and exposed aggregate sections. Long sloped driveway restored to clean uniform finish from street to house.

Before & After

Before and after of a residential driveway in Tamborine Mountain — heavily darkened brushed concrete and exposed aggregate driveway with biological staining at left, fully restored clean concrete and aggregate finish at right with work vehicle and equipment visible
Heavily contaminated mixed-finish driveway (left) restored to clean concrete and exposed aggregate via pressure cleaning (right)

What We Did

Surface assessment

Inspected the full driveway — a mixed-finish surface combining brushed concrete sections and exposed aggregate, requiring slightly different pressure handling across the two finish types. Confirmed both surfaces were sound and suitable for pressure cleaning.

Surface cleaner pressure wash

Worked the entire driveway with a flat-surface pressure cleaner attachment, adjusting pressure for the brushed concrete and exposed aggregate sections respectively. Surface cleaners deliver even, controlled pressure that handles both finishes without damaging either.

Edge & detail hand-wand work

Hand-cleaned driveway edges, expansion joints, and the transitions between concrete sections and the brick paver retaining wall with a wand at appropriate pressure.

Final rinse & inspection

Final rinse to flush all loosened contamination clear of the property to the gutter line. Walked the full driveway to confirm even finish from top to bottom across both finish types.

The Result

The driveway was restored from heavily contaminated, darkened concrete and aggregate to clean, even original finish across both surface types. Mixed-finish driveways need adjusted pressure handling between sections to deliver a uniform result without damaging either surface.

Driveways typically benefit from a pressure clean every 12–18 months in residential settings, depending on traffic and tree cover. Sloped and shaded driveways accumulate biological staining faster than flat open driveways.

Suitable For

Concrete driveways
Exposed aggregate driveways
Mixed-finish driveways
Sloped & long driveways
Footpaths & walkways
Pool surrounds

Driveways with multiple concrete finishes — common in older properties with extensions or partial resurfacing — need pressure adjusted between sections to clean uniformly without damaging the more delicate finish.

This Tamborine Mountain property had a long sloped driveway with a mixed concrete finish — brushed concrete in the upper sections transitioning to exposed aggregate near the street. Years of accumulated biological staining and embedded dirt had darkened the entire surface, with the upper brushed concrete sections particularly affected by shade and tree cover.

Surface cleaner pressure work cleared the contamination uniformly across both finish types, with pressure adjusted between the brushed concrete and exposed aggregate sections to clean each surface without damage. Edge work along the brick paver retaining wall and expansion joints was handled by hand wand. The result is a clean driveway with both finish types restored to original colour and texture, running cleanly from street to house.
