Fencing Installation in South East Queensland

In Queensland, all swimming pools and spa pools must be enclosed by a compliant barrier under AS 1926.1 (Queensland Pool Safety Standard). The fence must be at least 1.2m high, have no climbable handholds below 900mm, and all gates must be self-closing and self-latching. A licensed QLD Pool Safety Inspector must certify the fence — the installer cannot self-certify. Non-compliant pool fencing is a legal liability if a child is injured.

The Pool Safety Inspector is separate from the fencing installer and must be licensed under Queensland legislation. We coordinate the inspector's attendance as part of every pool fence job — you do not need to arrange this yourself. Hardifence (Scyon Linea or similar fibre cement fencing panels) is a modern alternative that looks different from Colorbond — more of a flat-panel contemporary finish. It is fire-resistant, making it a good choice in Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) rated areas across parts of SE QLD. It can be painted any colour and does not rust. It is generally more expensive than Colorbond but offers a different aesthetic for modern homes.

Yes. Old fence removal is included for standard single-fence removal on most jobs. Large fence lines or fences with significant concrete to be broken out are quoted separately. We dispose of all removed materials responsibly.
