Load capacity depends entirely on how shelves are fixed. Shelves fixed into wall studs with quality screws can hold significant weight — 50kg+ per bracket in many cases. Plasterboard anchors between studs have much lower load ratings. We always aim to fix into structure for maximum load capacity.

Yes — masonry walls require different fixings (masonry anchors and masonry drill bits), but the process and result is entirely achievable. Masonry walls are actually excellent for shelf installation due to the reliable anchor strength they provide.

We can install both standard-size purchased shelves and custom-cut shelves. Timber shelving can be cut to any required width and depth as part of the installation. We can supply standard MDF or timber shelf boards cut to size, or you can supply the shelving material.

Yes — garage workshop shelving is a common project. We recommend heavy-duty shelving systems for garages — rated to take the weight of tools, equipment, and storage containers that garage shelving is typically asked to hold.

Yes — we assemble and install flat-pack shelving systems from any supplier, including proper wall anchoring for tall or heavy units. Properly anchoring flat-pack shelving (particularly tall bookcases and wardrobes) is important for both safety and stability.

We handle everything from small one-off jobs (mount a TV, fix a door handle, patch a wall) to multi-day small renovation projects. If you have a list of items needing attention around your home, we can work through them in one visit — this is often more cost-effective than booking multiple individual callouts. No job is too small, and our minimum charge is 1 hour.

For most handyman jobs, we can supply materials and add them to your invoice at cost. For specific items (paint colours, fixtures you've already chosen, appliances), it's often easier for you to have them on-site. We'll discuss material requirements when booking and let you know what we'll bring versus what you need to provide.

Yes — gyprock repair is one of our most common handyman services. We patch holes of all sizes (from small anchor holes to large impact damage), tape and set cracks, skim coat for a smooth finish, and can paint-match so the repair is invisible. For rental properties and pre-sale preparation, gyprock repairs make a significant difference to the presentation of a home.

Yes — TV wall mounting is a popular service. We locate wall studs or use appropriate anchors for masonry walls, mount the bracket, and can also conceal cables in the wall cavity for a clean finish. We handle all TV sizes and weight capacities. If you want the cables run through the wall, this involves some gyprock cutting and patching which we also do.

We're not a full-scale renovation company, but we're well-suited to the kinds of updates that improve a home's liveability and value without requiring a full renovation budget.

Many customers find it more efficient and affordable to book a half-day or full-day handyman visit and work through their to-do list in one go rather than booking multiple smaller callouts.

Yes — we work with property managers and landlords regularly. We can attend to tenant maintenance requests, complete end-of-tenancy repairs, and do pre-sale preparation work. We provide invoices suitable for property management accounting, can coordinate access with tenants directly, and take photos of completed work for property records.

Yes — fixture installation is a core handyman service. We install curtain rods and tracks, floating shelves, wall-mounted storage, picture rails, hooks and hardware, towel rails, toilet roll holders, and other fittings. We use appropriate fixings for each wall type (timber stud, plasterboard, brick/masonry) to ensure everything is safely and securely mounted.
